We crossed mountains and lakes with Lea and Sandro.
Greece showed itself from a different side—quiet, wild, deep in the heart of the land.
Together we climbed. Together we descended.
The landscapes stayed with us.
And then came the goodbye.
Asia was ahead.
We entered Greece the long way –
the four of us –
crossed the border,
and pitched our tent next to a gas station.
In Ioannina, we paused for a few hours –
a beautiful place.
And we needed the break.
Because soon after,
we chose a route that took us through wild terrain,
with steep, unpaved paths where cycling was impossible.
We worked as a team,
pushing our bikes uphill together,
step by step, hand by hand.
The reward?
One of the most stunning descents of the entire journey.
Wide views, mountain silence,
a rhythm that felt like breathing again.
We arrived in Meteora,
and after cold, sweaty days,
the four of us rented an Airbnb.
We cooked together.
Laughed.
Shared space like home.
We explored the famous monasteries,
perched on steep hills and wrapped in fog.
We couldn’t see much –
but it didn’t matter.
We had each other.
Later, we made our way toward the coast and Thessaloniki.
There, a Christmas market,
sunshine by the harbor,
and the sense that this chapter was slowly closing.
Lea and Sandro –
you are beautiful humans,
with wide, open hearts.
You came at the right time
and left with a piece of mine.
You made this part of the journey unforgettable.

🏞️ Ioannina – A peaceful place for rest and reflection. We passed through and took time to enjoy the calm lake—perfect for slowing down.
⛪ Meteora – A one-of-a-kind landscape with ancient monasteries perched on towering cliffs. Nature and spirituality combined in a way I had never seen before.
🌊 Thessaloniki – A vibrant city by the sea, full of life, diversity, and movement. This was where it was time to say goodbye—to the country and to a shared chapter.
❤️ Lea & Sandro – A chance encounter turned into a shared path and a deep connection. These two wonderful souls became a meaningful part of the journey—without you, Greece wouldn’t have been the same. Thank you.

Crossing the mountains as night fell,
we struggled to find a place to sleep.
Then came a restaurant –
above it, a family lived.
They let us pitch our tents
in their small front yard,
close together,
sheltered from wind and stray dogs.
It wasn’t much.
But it was enough.
Kindness in the quiet.
