Czech Republic
Czechia was the first border.
Just a sign by the Elbe—nothing dramatic, but something shifted.
I was glad to be out. It felt like the journey was really beginning now.
In Prague I paused: “Already this far. And still so close to home.”
Two weeks in, and still no space to really grasp what had happened so far.

Czechia was hilly and humid—tough on untrained legs.
The roads rolled through green valleys and small towns, sometimes in rain, sometimes under heavy sun.
It felt like movement. Demanding, but alive.
There was joy in riding through it all—through sweat, surprise, and the quiet sense of: we’re really doing this.
People were kind, sometimes distant. But truthfully, I was too caught in the motion to see clearly.

📍 Points of Interest
✨ Prague – the first big city. Vibrant, full of contrast, and a reminder of how far we had already come.
🏞️ Tábor – a quiet gem with winding streets and a peaceful rhythm that invited us to slow down.
➡️ Budweis – passed by without stopping. Sometimes places leave a trace even if you never truly arrive.
✍️ Experience Snippet
Our first night on a Czech campsite.
Tucked beneath a highway bridge, the tent held steady as the world rumbled above.
We met fellow cyclists—brief exchanges, quiet recognition.
Simple, unexpected, and good.
